Mistakes to Avoid When Choosing a Laser Treatment

Hi everyone,

I’m so excited to share this month’s update and my very first blog post! November feels like the perfect time to talk about laser treatments, especially as we celebrate the arrival of our latest technology: Vasculaze by InMode.

As key opinion leaders for both of our existing laser platforms, education has always been at the heart of what we do at Le Formulaire. We want every patient to feel confident, informed, and empowered to make the right choice for their skin.

Here are a few important things to keep in mind before your next laser treatment:

1. Know What’s Safe for Your Skin Type

Not every laser is suitable for every skin tone. Our LaseMD Ultra is one of the safest and most versatile lasers available, offering incredible rejuvenation benefits, from improving skin texture and pigmentation to stimulating collagen, with minimal downtime and suitable for a wide range of skin types.

2. Be Cautious if You Have Melasma

If you struggle with melasma, choosing the wrong laser can make pigmentation worse. It’s essential to consult with a practitioner experienced in treating this condition safely to avoid triggering flare-ups and to achieve the best long-term results.

3. Ensure Your Practitioner Is Qualified

Your skin is too important to risk with inexperienced hands. Always make sure your treatment is performed by a qualified and experienced clinician who understands how to tailor energy settings to your individual needs and skin type.  Continuity with your practitioner is hugely beneficial for not only building trust, but allowing us to really work together to get the best results for you.

4. Ask About the Technology

Not all “lasers” are created equal! Understanding which technology your clinic uses, and why, can help you feel more confident about your treatment. At Le Formulaire, we use medical-grade, evidence-based platforms because safety and results come first.

5. Prepare Properly for Your Laser Session

Your results start with preparation. Avoid sun exposure, fake tan, and active skincare (like retinol or exfoliants) before your session. Following pre-care advice helps protect your skin and ensures a smoother recovery. But don’t worry, we will discuss this with you, and are here to guide you step by step.

6. Care for Your Skin After Treatment

Post-laser care is just as important as the treatment itself. Keep your skin hydrated, avoid heat and direct sunlight, and use SPF daily. Proper aftercare enhances your results and keeps your skin glowing longer.

Our Laser Suite, Tailored for Every Concern

We’re proud to offer a curated range of advanced laser technologies designed to safely and effectively address different skin goals:

LaseMD Ultra: A gentle yet powerful fractional laser that brightens, resurfaces, and rejuvenates with minimal downtime, suitable for most skin types.

Lumecca IPL: The gold standard in intense pulsed light therapy, Lumecca delivers up to 3x more energy in the 500–600 nm range compared to traditional IPL systems, meaning fewer treatments are needed and you achieve better results. It’s perfect for reducing redness, pigmentation, sun damage, and age spots while restoring overall luminosity and clarity to the skin.

Vasculaze by InMode – Our Newest Addition: Specifically engineered to treat vascular concerns such as facial veins, redness, and spider veins. Vasculaze delivers precise results comfortably and efficiently, and we’re thrilled to finally offer it in-clinic.

Choosing the right laser isn’t just about the technology, it’s about trust, knowledge, and expertise. At Le Formulaire, we are here to guide you through every step, ensuring your skin gets exactly what it needs to look and feel its best.

If you’ve been thinking about laser treatments or want to explore our brand-new Vasculaze, November is the perfect time to book a consultation and learn which option is right for you.
